A few words about us
Charité Maritime is constantly striving to support the maritime industry, be it on board or on land. The tasks and goals set for Charité Maritime begin where others give up. To take the initiative with the necessary social commitment and implementation and not to stand idly by and close your eyes.
All from one hand
On the one hand, Charité Maritime supports the goals and guidelines of the shipping company as a family business as well as the life’s work of the founder by implementing a clear objective to primarily support seafarers and their families, as well as young people, career changers, students and job seekers in the fascinating, dynamic maritime shipping industry and its interests.
Donation campaigns
Precisely as a first objective, have to bear the costs of the structure in which they are located, from the moment when they are no longer subsidized by the state.
Child Poverty
With your help, we will provide security for children and families, including children who live in orphanages and are in a precarious, economically weak situation, including with food and school support, by implementing health care and psychological support.
Sailing for people with disabilities
This project was launched by Charité Maritime to give children, young people and adults with disabilities the opportunity to realize their dream of sailing.
Financial support for destitute captains & seafarers
Financial provision of monthly living expenses for destitute captains, seafarers and their families, widows and orphans, including seafarers and widows who live elsewhere and do not have an apartment in one of the 14 locations.
Apartments for destitute captains & seafarer
Apartments are provided rent-free at our 14 locations for destitute captains, sailors, their families, widows and orphans. The same applies to every trainee, intern and student, so that you can live carefree and without additional financial burden and/or complete your training/dual study program/internship.
Apprenticeship & dual studies
The topic of training is very important to us, so that it provides the perfect basis for a successful start to your professional life. The task and goal is now to give everyone enough freedom to develop their strengths and talents in a family-like and respectful working atmosphere – to support you and give you the opportunity to choose your own vocational training based on your skills and the desire to be part of something special.
Jobs on board and ashore
Charité Maritime financially supports nautical and technical training and the necessary qualifications and further training for crew members, as well as jobs on land. Young people and career changers are also given the opportunity to find their job in the fascinating, dynamic maritime shipping industry, whether on board or on land.
Sea rescue
Charité Maritime financially supports the SAR missions, which were set up by the family business and are an integral part of the shipping company’s area of responsibility, while at the same time ensuring that clear guidelines and specifications are adhered to.
The SAR is there where it is needed and is on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
